Georgian Court Hotel

An historic Vancouver boutique hotel requests an update that pays homage to its classic origins.

First opened in 1983, The Georgian Court quickly became a coveted destination for locals and visitors alike. But after 30+ years with only minor updates, it was time to breathe new life into this historic property. 

MONARC decided to play with contrast in the bed and bath areas. The main room is enveloped in deep and dramatic finishes, while the bathroom sparkles in creamy off-whites and soft golds.  Clean, contemporary lines and detailing bring the space up to date. 

We chose the headboard to act as the room's dramatic anchor, accented by architectural lighting, bronze mirror and plush upholstery. Custom wood surrounds create cozy niches over the bed and at the TV console. Bathroom upgrades include sliding glass doors, a rain shower head and back-lit mirrors, for a serene and spa-like experience. 

Medallion print wall coverings, faceted crystal drawer pulls, veined marble and gold accents pay homage to the hotel's classic roots.
