This outdated lobby was stuck in the 80’s and lacking personality big time.
Being set back from the main hotel entry doors - which also serve as primary access to the hotel restaurant - left this lobby playing second fiddle and feeling disconnected. Glass block windows and a slew of 45-degree angles made the space feel awkward and dated.
Inspired by the wild, wet West coast and Vancouver’s infamous cherry blossoms, MONARC developed a refreshed palette complete with signature floral motif. A runway of linear-veined marble leads patrons directly to the front desk, while custom designed screens cleverly conceal the existing glass block and allow natural light to permeate the space.
